Lit-Hop Academy is creating a ten-part educational video series that reimagines the works of Edgar Allan Poe through original hip-hop and classroom-ready materials. Each 5–10 minute episode explores a different story or poem—such as “The Raven” or “The Tell-Tale Heart”—using music, animation, and narration to highlight core literary elements. The series includes educator guides aligned with high school English Language Arts standards, covering skills like theme analysis, citing textual evidence, and narrative structure.

This project is designed to engage students who may feel disconnected from traditional approaches to literature—especially auditory learners and those from underrepresented communities. By translating classic texts into dynamic, culturally relevant content, the series supports inclusive and accessible learning. My goal is to equip teachers with creative tools that make rigorous literary study more engaging and meaningful. Through rhythm, storytelling, and performance, these videos help students connect emotionally and critically with Poe’s timeless works.
