CARLON was founded in 2016 by choreographer Jay Carlon as a platform for creating new performance and community based projects. We are a fluid and multidisciplinary collection of artists and thinkers that are committed to a practice of decolonization – in the self, community, and in relationship to space and place.
We are rooted in dance and we start this work in the body, with each other – choreographing community. CARLON works are interrogations, interventions, and thoughtful provocations that aim to provide audiences and participants with a sense of belonging and to hold space for healing.
