The Los Angeles Dance Relief Fund (LADWRF) is the first initiative of the LA Dance Worker Coalition.  LAWDRF is a grassroots-organized fund aimed at bringing awareness to current and pre-COVID working conditions around dance in Los Angeles to raise funds for the purposes of supporting dance workers in Los Angeles through meaningful relief.

We endeavor to promote diversity, equity, inclusivity, and access in all aspects of our organizing by maintaining an anti-bias context for fundraising, outreach strategies, grant application creation and process, marketing and communication, jury and award selection, and partnerships. We intend to provide equitable access to funds through thoughtful and continual inquiry into the barriers to access. We aim to invest in marginalized dance workers in our communities by hyper-correcting fund allocation towards those who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. We actively pursue community partners across the strata of dance in Los Angeles to include dance disciplines that preserve the cultural heritage of our city’s diverse population. We make every effort to place value on lived experiences, help artists in all stages of their careers, and meet people where they are.
